Terms of use

Effective October 5, 2026

PipeBook is a reference. Check it before you rely on it.

PipeBook is made by Aaron Peabody ("we"). These terms cover your use of the PipeBook app on any device. By using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

What PipeBook is

PipeBook is a pocket reference and a set of calculators for people who work with pipe. It is not engineering advice and it is not a design tool. It does not replace the governing codes and standards, your project drawings and specifications, manufacturer data, your employer's procedures, or your own training and judgment.

Check before you rely on it

Accuracy

We check the data carefully. Each dimension is taken from two published sources, compared, and resolved against a third. Mistakes are still possible, and we do not promise that every value is correct, complete or current. If a number looks wrong, email us and we will check it.

No warranty

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS.

Limit of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REWORK, DELAYS, WASTED MATERIAL OR PROPERTY DAMAGE, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP.

Some places do not allow some of these limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Your license

You may use the app on devices you own or control, under the rules of the store you got it from. You may not resell, copy or republish the app or its data tables, or reverse engineer it, except where the law says you can.

PipeBook is independent. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by ASME or any other standards body or manufacturer. Standard names are used only to identify the standards the data relates to.

Purchases and the app stores

Purchases and refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their terms. If you got the app from the App Store, Apple's standard license agreement also applies. If you got it from Google Play, Google Play's terms also apply.

Changes

We may update the app and these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. Using the app after a change means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

Florida law governs these terms. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Florida.
